Podcast: Download (Duration: 1:00 — 1.4MB)
Pro-lifers in North Carolina are celebrating a legislative victory. Both the House and Senate have voted to override Democratic Governor Beverly Perdue’s veto of the Women’s Right to Know Act, and Mary Spaulding Balch of the National Right to Life Committee deems it “a great victory for mothers and their children.”
She says the ruling has been a long-time coming. For 20 years pro-lifers in North Carolina have been working inform women in a crisis pregnancy of the baby they carry. She also says it’s a huge blow to abortion providers because they know that if a mother chooses life … they lose a sale. Balch says for those in the business of abortion, the bottom line is money.
The new law goes into effect in 90 days and North Carolina abortion providers must comply.
