USA TODAY Article May Mean “Hate Crimes” Bill is Coming Again Soon…
USA Today is once again twisting the facts surrounding the 1998 death of college student Matthew Shepard, inferring he was killed simply because of his homosexuality. This baseless claim was made by many “gay” activists soon after Shepard’s death in an effort to silence critics who seek to discourage various forms of sexual immorality.
The article in yesterday’s USA Today should serve as a warning to conservatives that the pro-homosexual, federal hate crimes language may be reintroduced in Congress very soon. Otherwise, why would Judy Shepard be in Washington, DC? And why would USA Today feature such a prominent article (a.k.a. “puff piece”) on the topic at this particular time?

[3/3/08 - REUTERS] - The California Supreme Court appeared divided on Tuesday, [March 5, 2008] over whether to allow gay marriage during nearly four hours of oral arguments on the contentious issue that could impact gay rights nationwide. The top court now has [until June 2, 2008] to issue an opinion, with a decision before May unlikely. Six of the judges were appointed by Republican governors and one by a Democrat and the panel is considered politically moderate.

[L.A.TIMES - 3/2/08] - If the justices do take on this dispute, they will be obliged to ponder the many meanings of what the lawyers call the f-word and the s-word. Federal law does not provide much guidance. It forbids the broadcasting of “any obscene, indecent or profane language.” Congress has left it to the FCC to decide what that means.
Laura Bush Promotes ‘Safe Sex’ Myth to Americans
In a Dec. 1 op-ed in the Washington Post, First Lady Laura Bush said Americans need to “practice safe sex,” use condoms “every time,” and get tested for HIV/AIDS. Her spokeswoman repeated the message to Cybercast News Service this week. However, it is a message that is contrary to the Bush administration’s policy position on abstinence education as the best way to fight HIV/AIDS.
