Bad Apple: Computer Giant Shows Pro-Homosexual Double Standard
Apple, one the world’s largest computer and software companies, has pulled an application from its “App Store” following increased pressure from homosexual activists over its so-called “anti-gay” content. This isn’t the first time Apple has bowed to pressure from homosexuals, either. Last year, the company pulled a pro-family application designed for Christians to show their support for Biblical orthodoxy on life and marriage, among other things. In both of these situations, Apple has cited the “offensiveness” of the Christian applications as the reason for their removal.
Apple’s double standard in this situation is shocking. A cursory search of the term “gay” in the iTunes application store reveals a host of applications that most Americans would find incredibly offensive. One application offers pictures and diagrams of homosexual sex positions, while others are intended to facilitate homosexual “hookups” when two people with the application are within a certain range of each other.
These applications are not only offensive, but dangerous. They are freely accessible by anyone, including children. Yet Apple has not removed these immoral applications for their offensiveness.
Granted, Apple is a private corporation. There is no law against them censoring Christian speech while favoring homosexual smut. However, situations like this reveal the true allegiances of Apple, and Christian consumers should take note.
The only thing that will stop Apple from exhibiting such a ridiculous double standard is when they start losing the business of Christians who have had enough of their pro-homosexual activism.
