US Military’s Pro-Homosexual Indoctrination Has Started
A new article in The Washington Times details the pro-homosexual training materials now being distributed to military officers regarding the repeal of the military ban on open homosexuality.
Though the legislative repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) was signed by President Obama only three months ago, homosexual activists are not happy with the pace at which our military is careening toward sexual oblivion. The Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN), an organization whose sole purpose is to normalize sexual perversion in the United States military, has already issued a statement expressing displeasure over how slowly they perceive the military is implementing the DADT repeal.
According to the Times article, “four branches of the military have begun sending training material” to soldiers in anticipation of the full completion of the DADT repeal. The training materials, which will indoctrinate 2.2 million military members into forced “tolerance” of homosexuality, contain several hypothetical situations that commanding officers may be required to overlook, including the possibility of seeing two homosexual Marines publicly kissing in a shopping mall.
Another proposed scenario informs officers they cannot prohibit soldiers from visiting a gay bar. Also, the new guidelines do not require commanders to honor a soldier’s request to shower separately from openly-homosexual servicemembers. The new guidelines only contain language allowing that commanders “may honor” those requests, a phrase which implies that a pro-homosexual military commander may refuse any such requests from any soldiers uncomfortable with the prospect of being ogled by homosexuals in the shower.
The guidelines indicate that once DADT is fully repealed, military recruiters will not be allowed refuse to enlist an openly-homosexual civilian, even if it violates their religious beliefs. Furthermore, soldiers will not be granted an early discharge from service because they are uncomfortable with the new pro-homosexual environment. We should not be surprised when serious issues erupt over these issues. They certainly will.
Those Americans who thought granting legitimacy to homosexual and bisexual service in the military would satisfy homosexual activists were gravely mistaken. Even now, SLDN’s website is advocating their new “top priorities,” which include “advocacy for transgender military service.” Indeed, pro-homosexual and pro-“transgender” activists will not be satisfied until all manner of sexual sins are protected and even celebrated by the United States military.
Clearly, the effort to allow open homosexuality in the military was never about increasing military combat readiness; it has always been a thinly-veiled military-wide sexual experiment destined for failure of epic proportions. But our post-modern culture is all too willing to accommodate this immoral experiment, having bought into the lie that perverted forms of sexuality should now be viewed with favor, both inside and outside of the military.
Our government’s push for legitimizing homosexuality is foolish and reckless, since it has been well-established by medical science and research that homosexual activity is one of the most deadly practices known to humanity. Science shows homosexuality to be deadly – this is important not just because it seems to confirm common sense, but because it shows that God has created humans to function at their best when in conformity with the laws and guidelines laid out in His Word. That’s why this effort is a direct assault on Biblical sexual morality. At several points in Scripture, God unequivocally declares homosexual behavior as outside of His intended boundaries (e.g., Genesis 19:1-5, Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:21-31, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 1 Timothy 1:9-10, and Jude 1:6-7).
Any government that promotes and legitimizes a destructive and sinful behavior by allowing it to be openly practiced in the military is abandoning its Biblical responsibility to implement true justice. Governments and laws will never change the heart of any sinner (including homosexuals). That is solely a job for Jesus Christ. However, governments are charged with the duty (Romans 13) to promote good and restrict evil insofar as it affects society. As such, governments should not promote homosexual behavior by encouraging it in the military.
But sadly, America’s leaders have chosen to rebel against God’s charge for human government. Our government’s efforts to legitimize and promote such a destructive lifestyle will be bought at the expense of an early death for many soldiers.
America would do well to heed the words of the prophet Isaiah, who predicted grave trouble for those who call good evil and evil good (Is. 5:20).
