Read What Texans Are Saying About Universal, Tax-Payer Funded Abortion in Health Care “Reform”
[FPN] – Residents across the state of Texas are voicing their opposition to a congressional proposal that would use taxpayer money to pay for abortions under the guise of so-called health care “reform”. Pro-family Texans are signing Family Policy Network’s petition urging both houses of Congress and President Obama to reject health care “reform” that provides universal abortion funding on the backs of American taxpayers.
The text of the petition reads as follows:
Please OPPOSE any and all attempts to include funding and/or mandates for abortions in health care “reform” legislation.
Destroying innocent human life is not “reform” by any means. The Bible clearly states “Thou Shalt Not Murder.” Our nation should not engage in the slaughter of its citizens and I should not be forced to fund it.
Many Texans who signed the petition opposing taxpayer-funded abortion added their own comments to the statement above. Here is a sampling of those comments:
-
- Barbara E. in Cedar Park, TX writes, “Protect the innocent.”
-
- Richard S. in Hemphill, TX writes, “I’m disgusted that the government is wanting to fund abortions with my $$$ when I find such actions immoral and repugnant.”
-
- Lynel C. in San Antonio, TX writes, “If you DO allow it to happen, then I assure you that GOD will not bless this nation anymore, but will damn it to everlasting hell, which is what we will deserve for not protecting these littlest ones who have no voice but ours.”
-
- Jim and Mary B. in Sachse, TX write, “Shame on Congress for even considering increasing the abortion in America. How dare you think those little lives are so much trash.”
-
- Roy and Judy D. in Palestine, TX write, “Who will fight for the unborn who have no voice if we as Christians do not become their voice?”
-
- Murphy H. in Orange, TX writes, “Euthanasia performed on very young, defenseless souls. Elderly, disabled, handicaped are next if we don’t stop this now.”

-
- Dave S. in Seabrook, TX writes, “Stop abortion period. Especially taxpayer supported abortion…it is not constitutional.”
-
- Patrick B. in Houston, TX writes, “We are pro-life and support only pro-life candidates.”
-
- Paul T. in Marshall, TX writes, “Our nation is already entering a time of severe judgment because of this bloody guilt. I am convinced it will not relent until we repent of, condemn and abandon this hideous crime.”
-
- Marsha B. in Houston, TX writes, “This is murder in my mind!”
-
- Jimmie L. in Richardson, TX writes, “We need to protect the sanctity of life. No abortion coverage in healthcare reform.”
-
- Sidney P. in Richardson, TX writes, “What a scary thing to ‘be in the shoes’ of the abortionist and those who champion it when the time comes to stand before the Great White Throne of Judgment and have to face the Living God and answer for all the human life they have taken!”
-
- Brenda W. in Dallas, TX writes, “If people want to commit the horrific act of killing their unborn babies, they CERTAINLY aren’t going to do it with MY money! This is insane.”
