Legal Group Fights for Rights of Teen Mothers

The Justice Foundation claims that under existing law, underage girls cannot be forced by anyone – including their parents – to have an abortion.

The legal group has produced for parents a letter spelling out their rights under the law. Simply put, parents cannot pressure their daughter into an abortion.

Allan Parker, who heads the group, says doing so “violates even her constitutional right to make the decision to have an abortion. And even though we’re a parents’ rights organization, people need to remember that when a girl is pregnant, she’s now a mother. She has parental rights.”

According to Parker, most parents and underage girls don’t know that the girl can refuse to kill her preborn child.

The Justice Foundation has established the “Center Against Forced Abortions” – to provide legal resources to mothers.
