March for Marriage to Coincide with Supreme Court Hearing on Marriage

On March 26, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in a case that will determine how marriage is to be defined. A separate case concerning the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act is set to be heard the following day.

As the justices begin their deliberations, supporters of traditional marriage are planning to march on the Court. The “March for Marriage” will take place on Tuesday March 26, and is being organized by the National Organization for Marriage.

The March will start at the National Mall and then proceed to the Supreme Court building and back. The purpose is to show support for the only institution that ties mothers and fathers to their children.

The National Organization for Marriage says they have a large and diverse coalition of groups joining the march.
