AFA Identifies Christmas Friendly Companies

The American Family Association has released it 2012 listing of top retailers and how they recognize Christmas.

The findings are broken into four color-coded categories. Those in the BLUE section are “5-Star” rated companies that promote and celebrate Christmas on an exceptional basis. The GREEN category lists companies that use the term “Christmas” on a regular basis and are considered Christmas-friendly. In the YELLOW category are companies that refer to Christmas infrequently and not in all advertising media. And finally the RED section that contains companies that use “Christmas” sparingly in a single or unique product description, but as a company, does not recognize the holiday.

The red category includes Banana Republic, Barnes and Noble and Old Navy.
