LSU Removes Crosses from Student Photo

LSU digitally erased tiny crosses that were painted on the bodies of a group of Christian students known as the Painted Posse. The picture was taken at a recent LSU football game.

The students were outraged when they saw the photo and how it had been doctored. The picture was in a newsletter that went out following the Tigers’ 23-21 win over the then-No. 3 South Carolina. The Tigers are now 7-1 for the season.

Posse member Cameron Cooke told he “was a bit surprised, because our pictures get used so frequently, and the cross had never been edited before, The cross painting is important to me because it represents who I am as a Christ follower.”

School spokesman Herb Vincent said the school altered the image to prevent other students from being offended.
