2/13/12: Pro-Life Leaders Unimpressed with Obama’s “Compromise”

Pro-life leaders are slamming President Obama’s reported “concession to freedom of religion and conscience” on contraceptive mandates in the federal health care plan. Obama said that instead of forcing religious employers to pay for birth control, it will force insurance companies to offer the drugs free of charge to all women.

Joe Glover, President of FPN said “The so-called ‘contraceptive’ Obama wants to force on us causes abortions. It’s called the ‘Morning-After Pill,” and it often destroys a newly created life AFTER conception, which is why it should be banned – – rather than mandated.”

And Representative Chris Smith said, “The so-called new policy is the discredited old policy, dressed up to look like something else. It remains a serious violation of religious freedom.
