9/15/11: Pro-Life Victories in Two Elections

Two special elections this week stunned pro-abortion Democrats. Two weeks ago pro-abortion New York Assemblyman David Weprin was the odds on favorite to win in the state’s 9th Congressional District. The optimism seemed well placed; the district has been a Democratic stronghold for decades.
But pro-life Republican businessman Bob Turner overcame Weprin and the last minute infusion of a half million dollars from the Democratic Congressional Committee.
In Nevada Democrats had high hopes of winning the 2nd Congressional seat vacated by pro-life Congressman Dean Heller. Instead, pro-life former state Senator Mark Amodei soundly defeated pro-abortion state Treasurer Kate Marshall.
Many believe 2012 holds real possibilities undreamed of only a year ago.
