Podcast: Download (Duration: 1:00 — 1.4MB)

Target says it is remaining “neutral” on Minnesota’s controversial marriage amendment, despite the company’s long history of policies friendly to gays and lesbians.

Last year, Target gave 150,000 dollars to Minnesota Forward, a pro-business interest group supporting a Republican running for governor. When reports surfaced that the candidate was also a supporter of a Minnesota marriage amendment, homosexual activists unleashed their fury, starting petitions and public protests against Target.

Target eventually caved to their demands by apologizing for the donation. But when Target declined to make a 150,000 dollar donation to a homosexual activist group as penance for its “wrong,” homosexual activists initiating a nationwide boycott of the company, which is still in effect.
