6/7/11: New Illinois Law Called “Anti-Christian”

A pro family group in Illinois is calling the state’s new civil union’s “anti Christian” saying it must be repealed. Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality said homosexual behavior is always wrong, according to the vast scope of Judeo-Christian history, so it is tragic to behold the State of Illinois – or any government entity – recognizing immoral same-sex relationships and treating them like marriage.

The strangely titled Illinois Religious Freedom Protection and Civil Union Act allows same-sex couples to enter into civil unions granting them many rights already afforded married couples.

The law was passed in a lame-duck session that LaBarbera says “once again revealed the contempt that liberal Illinois lawmakers have for the citizens they are supposed to serve.
