BSA Asking for Your Input into Membership Policy
The Boys Scouts of America continues to seek input from former and current scout leaders, members, parents, and supporting organizations about proposed changes to its long-standing policy to “not grant membership to individuals who are open or avowed homosexuals…”
After a national uproar ensued from the BSA’s announcement that it intended to change its membership policy to allow local scout councils to determine membership standards, the BSA decided to postpone a decision about the policy until the BSA’s national meeting in May. The BSA has been under mounting pressure from homosexual activists and their allies to change its current membership policy to allow open homosexuals to serve.
The main page of the BSA website has a button where citizens can provide feedback about the membership policy.
