Charlottesville Council Votes for Gay Marriage
Charlottesville city councilors tackled not just gay marriage, but the state legislature. In what many describe as a “bold move” council passed a resolution that calls for the repeal of state levied ban on same sex marriages. Councilors heard from a sharply divided crowd. All centered around the General Assembly’s ban on same-sex marriage. There was overwhelming support for the resolution to be passed and it did. [–more–]
