FPN President Condemns Murder of Roanoke Man Shot at Homosexual Bar

ROANOKE – The leader of a pro-family organization opposed to the homosexual agenda today condemned the weekend murder of a Roanoke man who was shot at a gay bar there. Joe Glover, President of the Virginia-based Family Policy Network said, “Murder must never be tolerated, regardless of the motive. Danny Overstreet’s killer should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”

Glover stated that his organization’s opposition to the killing of Danny Overstreet is consistent with its opposition to the homosexual lifestyle by saying, “We are opposed to homosexuality for the same reason we are opposed to murder: it leads many people to an early grave.” A recent study released by the International Journal of Epidemiology indicates that persons engaging in sodomy by age 20 have just over a fifty percent chance of reaching age sixty-five.

Glover said “Danny Overstreet’s death is tragic. But it is no more tragic than the needless deaths of so many who have engaged in homosexual sex acts and lost their lives to AIDS, Hepatitis, and other diseases related to this destructive lifestyle.”
