Martinsville, Virginia – Three pro-family activists, including representatives of two national pro-family organizations, held a press conference here last night as part of a new campaign to inform beer drinkers on Anheuser-Busch’s attempts to promote homosexuality.

Family Policy Network President Joe Glover said, “Anheuser-Busch seems to be endorsing sodomy for money.” He told attendees that he would call on race fans to tell Anheuser-Busch that the company is wrong to promote homosexuality because it ultimately leads to heartache, disease and often early death due to sickness attained through abnormal sexual behavior.

Also on hand to speak against Anheuser-Busch’s new pro-homosexual campaign were former lesbian Yvette Cantu and former homosexual Holt McCormick. Cantu, a resident of Washington, DC, spoke as a representative of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality. She said, “”While I was in the lesbian lifestyle, I helplessly watched 15 of my homosexual friends die of AIDS. After seeing that and other damaging effects of homosexual behavior, I know firsthand that it is irresponsible of Anheuser-Busch to promote homosexuality in its ads.”

Holt McCormick, CEO of the Austin-Holt Company in Burlington, North Carolina, said while many refer to homosexuality as a “lifestyle,” he prefers to call it a “death-style,” because, he said, “that’s exactly what it is.” Holt also called on Anheuser-Busch to reverse its decision to promote destructive behavior in magazines and to withhold funds from organizations that seek to further the so-called “gay agenda.”

Glover asked Budweiser, Busch and Michelob drinkers to avoid Anheuser-Busch products at least and until the beer-maker reverses its policies toward “the destructive homosexual agenda.” He said, “We’re asking a corporate giant to put people and principle above profits. We’re urging people to tell Anheuser-Busch that they won’t patronize companies that promote homosexuality.”
