FDA May Make Abortifacient Drug Available to Young Girls
The company that makes a version of the Morning After Pill, known as Plan B, is seeking easier access to their drug for underage girls. The company is trying to convince the FDA to allow the abortifacient drug to be sold without a prescription to girls younger than 17. Obviously, this is a bad thing.
The Morning After Pill kills children. It is well-established that one of the drug’s functions is to make the uterus hostile to any newly-conceived humans. As a matter of pro-life and Christian principle, the pill should be opposed and should not be sold, even with a prescription.
Aside from that issue, increasing access to the pill for minors will only increase the societal pressure for girls to have “no consequences” sex. But the ‘freedom from consequences’ that the MAP allows is a dangerous ‘freedom.’ Although the MAP does provide an ‘easy’ abortion for many women, it in no way prevents the user from contracting sexually transmitted diseases. The perceived lack of consequences will contribute to an even higher STD rate.

The maker of the Plan B morning-after pill is gearing up for another round with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration over whether the emergency contraceptive can be sold without a prescription for younger women and girls.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd earlier this week said it had asked the FDA for permission to sell the drug without any age limits, the latest salvo in a decade-long battle over the pill.
