Parents Can No Longer Trust Boy Scouts of America

Facing pressure from its supporters and members, the Boy Scouts executive board said it is delaying a decision on lifting its prohibition of gay Scout leaders and members until May, when it will put the matter before its 1,400 voting members. The plan would allow local councils to determine the policy.

FPN President Joe Glover said “The Bible couldn’t be more clear about the sinfulness of homosexuality. It’s an issue that doesn’t require even a moment to deliberate – – much less three months.”

Glover added, “My recommendation to Christian parents would be to only place their children in the hands of Godly caretakers who readily accept God’s definition of what it means to be ‘morally straight.’ Unfortunately, the leaders of Boy Scouts of America have proven their organization can no longer be trusted to meet that standard.”
