Pro-lifers are heading to Washington, DC, by the busload for activities to promote life. While the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion is today, the annual “March for Life” will be held Friday.
Spokesperson Jeanne Monahan, who serves as president of March for Life says this year’s event promises to be a huge success.
Monahan says hotels sold out a month in advance of when they normally sell out, and organizers are seeing an increase in media requests
She’s predicting record-breaking crowds partly because this is the 40th anniversary of Roe. Also and also because of a special tribute to Nellie Gray that is planned.
Gray, one of the Founders of the March for Life, passed away following last year’s event.
