CWA Says “Don’t Forget the Supreme Court”
The nation’s largest public policy women’s organization thinks voters need to keep in mind that the man who wins today’s election will be able to shape the Supreme Court for decades to come.
While the economy is likely the primary concern of voters, Concerned Women for America makes note of another long-term issue that cannot be ignored: the Supreme Court.
President Obama has appointed two left-leaning justices during his first term. And Dr. Janice Crouse, senior fellow CWA’s Beverly LaHaye Institute, points out that four justices are over age 70.
But this concern stretches beyond the Supreme Court. Crouse says it’s also the district judges and many local judges who have lifetime appointments. She calls those appointments “very critical to the interpretation of the Constitution and to people’s everyday lives in the coming years.”
