New Study Finds Abortion – Breast Cancer Link

A new comprehensive study reveals that women who have abortions have a significantly higher risk of death than women who give birth to their children.

The Danish study found that the risk of maternal death increased by 45 percent for women who had an induced abortion compared to women with no history of abortion. The mortality risk increased to 114 percent for women with two abortions, and 192 percent for women with three or more abortions. Women with a history of successful deliveries had the lowest mortality rates during the period examined.

Researchers scrutinized the medical records of nearly half a million women who had their initial pregnancies between 1980 and 2004. Those records were then matched up with death registries and abortion registries.
