Young Mother Dies after Abortion at Planned Parenthood Clinic

Pro-life groups are calling for an investigation into the death of a woman who underwent an abortion procedure at a Chicago Planned Parenthood.

Tonya Reaves, 24, the mother of a one-year-old son, recently visited the Loop Health Center Planned Parenthood clinic to abort her latest child. But she was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital after complications arose. She died later that evening of hemorrhage related to the abortion, according to Operation Rescue.

Cheryl Sullinger of Operation Rescue says the group believes the death was likely caused by an error on the part of the abortionist. An ambulance was called to the abortion clinic but it did not transport Reaves to the hospital. Sullinger wonders if that oddity is cause for an investigation.
