Planned Parenthood Sued for Filing False Medicaid Claims

The Alliance Defense Fund has filed a lawsuit against Planned Parenthood for defrauding the government of millions of tax-payer dollars.

ADF attorneys say Abby Johnson, an 8-year employee and former director of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas, has provided hem with “smoking gun” evidence documenting more than 87,000 false, fraudulent, or ineligible Medicaid claims filed by Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast. The clinic made more than 5.7 million dollars from the reimbursements.

Abby’s evidence reveals that Planned Parenthood illegally billed the Texas Women’s Health Program for services it either didn’t perform, or shouldn’t have.

ADF says they’ve also identified nearly 100 million dollars in waste, abuse, and potential fraud committed by other Planned Parenthood affiliates.
