Media Watchdog Group Calls Out Stewart

A media watchdog group is challenging a political satirist to be an “equal opportunity bigot.”

The Daily Show host Jon Stewart recently ran a lewd photo of a woman and the Nativity scene, trying to poke fun at people he believes are ignoring the alleged “war against women” by those on the political right. During the segment, he brought up clips of Fox News reporters talking about things like the “war on Christmas” as proof that the network is ignoring conservative legislators’ anti-women efforts.

In response, Media Research Center president Brent Bozell went on Twitter to dare Stewart to desecrate either the Koran or the Torah in the same way he offended millions of Christians by using the manger symbol in such a crude fashion. Bozell says Stewart’s type of comedy applies only to anti-Christian bigotry.
