1/10/12: Mainstream Media Attacks Monogamy

The Culture and Media Institute is taking issue with a recent story on the Huffington Post that declared, “Monogamy is Killing Marriage.” Vicki Larson came to that conclusion in a piece earlier this month titled “Why Men Need to Cheat.”

Larson’s article attacks “monogamy’s stranglehold over our beliefs” while timidly admitting, “cheating however, serves men well.” CMI says what Larson does not say is that she followed the research of Eric Anderson whose field of specialization is largely homosexual in nature. CMI points out the irony of the turning to a professor of homosexuality and opponent of traditional marriage to discuss how unreasonable monogamy is.

CMI says the article comes at a time when the media war on monogamous marriage is intensifying.
