Read What Ohioans Are Saying About Universal, Tax-Payer Funded Abortion in Health Care “Reform”

[FPN] – Residents across the state of Ohio are voicing their opposition to a congressional proposal that would use taxpayer money to pay for abortions under the guise of so-called health care “reform”. Pro-family Ohioans are signing Family Policy Network’s petition urging both houses of Congress and President Obama to reject health care “reform” that provides universal abortion funding on the backs of American taxpayers.

The text of the petition reads as follows:

Please OPPOSE any and all attempts to include funding and/or mandates for abortions in health care “reform” legislation.

Destroying innocent human life is not “reform” by any means. The Bible clearly states “Thou Shalt Not Murder.” Our nation should not engage in the slaughter of its citizens and I should not be forced to fund it.

Many Ohioans who signed the petition opposing taxpayer-funded abortion added their own comments to the statement above. Here is a sampling of those comments:

    • Karen L. in Mt Vernon, OH writes, “I just have one thing to say: “Please spare the babies, Lord! Forgive this country for our sins! And your children–forgive us, too, Lord, for we have been in sound slumber, and turned away our eye. Please have mercy. Maranatha–come quickly Lord Jesus!””

 

    • Richard N. in Dayton, OH writes, “Abortion is nothing less than MURDER!”

 

    • Judy V. in Bryan, OH writes, “In my social service agency, I work with women who’ve had abortions and are struggling to maintain their sanity in light of the grief, depression, pain, and guilt they are suffering from having had one or in some cases 7 or 8 abortions. Please do not allow abortion to be included in “healthcare reform”. Abortion is not making women healthier – it’s destroying their lives. I don’t want to be forced to pay to help women lose their ability to cope with life.”

 

    • Svetlana F. in Chillicothe, OH writes, “I request that abortion would be specifically excluded from the health care benefits.”

 

    • Jeanette S. in Leavittsburg, OH writes, “The last thing we need in our country is to use our tax dollars to fund killing innocent lives. We are so quick to allow terrorists to be released from prison, but refuse to take notice of the rights of our unborn. How wrong is that?”

 

    • Marvin G. in Mt Vernon, OH writes, “I will not vote for anyone who supports thus evil proposal.”

 

    • Marilyn B. in St Clairsville, OH writes, “Abortion is murder, plain and simple.”

 

    • Terry R. in McComb, OH writes, “It is crunch time America. I love my country dearly. But I love my God and my Savior more. As a husband, son, father, grandfather, and uncle, as a follower of Jesus Christ and therefore a Christian I cannot support or tolerate my tax dollars supporting the killing of our and God’s unborn children. It is against my faith. As a shepherd of the church I will be held accountable for any indifference or tolerance of this evil man and his plan to use my money to promote his agenda and position to kill those God has placed in the womb.”
