ALERT: Support Farris Alternative to Virginia Marriage Amendment

After several weeks of consideration by pro-family organizations and activists, a clear choice has emerged from the proposals to amend Virginia’s Constitution to ban homosexual ‘unions.’ The best language was written by Constitutional Attorney Mike Farris, endorsed by several prominent pro-family activists and legislators, and finally introduced in the General Assembly as House Joint Resolution 615 (HJR-615) on Friday by Delegate Kathy Byron (R-Campbell).
Mike Farris worked hard to draft the language so that, after twice being approved by the General Assembly and once by the voters, it will define marriage as a union between “one man” and “one woman,” while disallowing government recognition of so-called same-sex “unions.”
Kathy Byron’s efforts to seek legislative support for the bill have paid off, with 15 co-sponsors already signing on in the House of Delegates, and several others giving it serious consideration.
Now we need YOUR help. We are building a state-wide coalition of citizens, pastors, businessmen and elected officials to endorse HJR-615 as the Virginia Marriage Amendment, so we can make a case for legislators to support it, too.
