Podcast: Download (Duration: 1:00 — 1.4MB)

A four-week national awareness campaign called “Be Aware: Porn Harms” is underway.

Dawn Hawkins, executive director of Morality in Media says the drive’s messages will be pornography’s role in addiction, harm to children, sex trafficking, and violence against women.” Several online events are planned as well as a few conference calls that you can join that will be led by experts.

Hawkins says they’re “trying to flood the Internet with as much anti-pornography information as possible” because it is important to remind people how much porn affects its victims, addicts and families. MIM also hopes to light a fire under the Department of Justice to prosecute illegal, hardcore adult pornography. Hawkins complains that “there have been zero prosecutions under this administration.”
