7/11/11: Pro-Family Coalition Laments New NBC Show

A coalition of pro-family groups are working to convince NBC that it should scrap one of its new fall programs, The Playboy Club. NBC is touting the show as “a provocative new series [that] captures a time and place that challenged the social mores, where a visionary created an empire, and an icon changed American culture.”

But the Coalition for the War on Illegal Pornography, said the show is nothing more than a pornographic attack on families and the culture that should never see the light of day. The group criticized NBC for contributing to the sexual objectification and exploitation of women and encouraging greater acceptance of pornography with its soon-to-be-aired series. The coalition is made up of more than seventy groups Concerned Women for America and the American Family Association.
