FPN Flies ‘Hope for Homosexuals’ Over Debauchery at Folsom Street Fair

[FPN -10/01/07] A pro-family organization advertised an evangelistic outreach over San Francisco, California in the fall of 2007 to confront attendees at a public celebration of immorality with the truth that Jesus Christ can set them free from sexual sin.

The Virginia-based Family Policy Network (FPN) contracted an aerial advertising company to fly a banner over the San Fransisco Folsom Street Fair on 9/30/2007. The message on the banner read, “JESUS CHRIST: WWW.HOPE FOR HOMOSEXUALS.COM.”

The banner is one of several that FPN has contracted to fly over pro-homosexual events throughout the nation this year — in most cases with the help of a local sponsor. Previous “gay pride” events visited by FPN’s Hope Days banner in 2007 have included Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Columbus (OH) and Philadelphia.

The 2007 Folsom Street Fair drew heavy criticism in the days leading up to the event as a result of a promotional poster produced by festival organizers. The poster featured a mockery of the Last Supper of Christ, depicting Jesus and His disciples as sado-masochist perverts with sex “toys” as replacements for the body and blood of our Lord.
