Wounded Warriors Tells Church it Does Not Want Its Donations

Liberty Baptist Academy in Fort Pierce, Florida has been told its donations are not welcome.

The church wanted to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project and sent in the $100 fee, only to learn that their donations would not be accepted.

Pastor Wallace Cooley told one news now the church was “sent an e-mail that stated that they were returning the money because they did not accept money from groups that were religious in nature.”

Cooley then found a place on the WWP website stating the policy but it was removed around mid-morning Monday, when the story had begun circulating on social media outlets.

Last week, a representative from the Wounded Warriors called the church to apologize for the miscommunication and offered to make an exception to accept the church’s donation.
