FPN President Urges Trust in God’s Providence
With the 2012 elections now behind us, many winners and losers are feeling strong emotions about the results. And while involvement in politics is an important Christian responsibility, it’s also important to realize elections are limited in their ability to change the future.
FPN President Joe Glover says Christians must ultimately believe in God’s providence, rather than in fallible human leadership, for protection and prosperity. He says Christians have a duty to be ‘salt and light’ in politics, but God is sovereign, and He alone holds the future.
Glover points to Psalm 103:19, which reads: “The Lord has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all.”
