FPN Flies Hope Over “Gay Pride” Events from California to Florida in 2007

Family Policy Network (FPN) spearheaded a campaign called “Project Hope Days,” wherein it flew airplane banners over pro-homosexual events throughout the nation that read, “JESUS CHRIST: WWW. HOPE FOR HOMOSEXUALS .COM.” The banners were flown over so-called “gay pride” parades and other events that were designed to celebrate sexual sin in several major cities, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Orlando, Sandusky (OH) and San Francisco.

FPN first established the “hopeforhomosexuals.com” website in 2001 to encourage practicing homosexuals to “come out” of that destructive lifestyle, and to embrace the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. The website features stirring testimonies from former homosexuals, an explanation of God’s plan to redeem those who are willing to repent, information warning about the destructive nature of homosexuality, and contact information for groups that assist people who desire to repent of sexual sin.

At last week’s meeting, council members said the Lord’s Prayer in public for the last time. The threat of a lawsuit by the Washington, D.C.-based Americans United for Separation of Church and State ended the half-century-old tradition.

Pro-Family Decency Law Under Attack from Sex Industry

According to a prominent pro-family leader, there is more opposition to come following a failed attempt by the sex industry to temporarily restrain the Community Defense Act (CDA) in Ohio.

After local board of elections tallies from around the state arrived, Secretary of State Katherine Brunner declared recently that there were insufficient signatures from the “Vote No on Issue 1 Committee” referendum to make the November ballot. Attorneys for the plaintiffs then filed a motion for a restraining order, challenging the CDA’s constitutionality. However, that was denied by Judge Solomon Oliver, Jr., which Phil Burress of Citizens for Community Values says was expected.
