		<description><![CDATA[The Baltimore City Council has passed a resolution supporting a separate state Senate bill that would give same-sex couples the right to a civil marriage. 

The city resolution, introduced by Councilman Bill Henry of the 4th District, covering the York Road corridor, passed 9-3 on March 17. One council member abstained, and two were absent.]]></description>

		<title>TX Pro-Life Groups Challenges Popular Breast Cancer Foundation for Planned Parenthood Link</title>
		<description><![CDATA[A pro-life group in Texas is drawing attention to the Abortion Breast Cancer link and Planned Parenthood's relationship with the Susan G. Komen Foundation with a new billboard that raises serious questions -- and is drawing fire. Pro-Life Waco has set up a billboard on the 1700 block of Franklin Avenue that poses suggestive questions: "What? An abortion increases my risk for breast cancer? Why does the Komen Race grant $45,000 to Waco's Planned Parenthood abortion provider?"

The billboard is also visible from the offices of the Waco Tribune-Herald, which has voiced support of Planned Parenthoods policies and agenda in the past. ]]></description>

		<title>Jury Under Fire for Consulting Bible During Sentencing Deliberations</title>
		<description><![CDATA[Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore and attorneys with the Foundation for Moral Law argued in an amicus curiae brief filed today in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit that a Texas jury's consultation of Bible passages during death-penalty sentencing deliberations did not taint the jury in violation of the 6th Amendment.  The Foundation argued in the case, <em>Oliver v. Quarterman</em>, that a jury's use of the Bible is a natural occurrence since a jury has historically reflected the diversity of the community from which it is drawn, including members who consider the Bible an integral part of their faith and morality.]]></description>

		<title>Library Employee Fired For Reporting Patron&#8217;s Use Of Child Pornography</title>
		<description><![CDATA[On February 28, while working at the Lindsay Branch Library, Brenda Biesterfeld, a Librarian Assistant, reported to police that a library patron was viewing child pornography on one of the public-use computers in the library. Two days later and without explanation, Biesterfeld was terminated.
