Residents across the state of California are voicing their opposition to a congressional proposal that would use taxpayer money to pay for all abortions under the guise of so-called health care "reform". Pro-family Californians are signing Family Policy Network's petition urging both houses of Congress and President Obama to reject health care "reform" that provides universal abortion funding on the backs of American taxpayers.

Many Californians who signed the petition opposing taxpayer-funded abortion added their own comments to the petition. Here is a sampling of those comments:

A group of liberal churches are petitioning the California Supreme Court to overturn the recently voter-approved Proposition 8, which defines marriage as the union of man and woman. The referendum overturns a California Supreme Court decision that temporarily mandated same-sex unions. An official from the Institute on Religion and Democracy points to declining membership in these congregations by saying they "increasingly represent an elite and effete minority." He adds, "Their emptying pews prevent almost any kind of significance."

Shocking video reveals hatred and rage from homosexuals protesting the voters' decision to make California the 30th state in the nation to enshrine traditional marriage into their state constitution. In the video, homosexual activists surround an older lady who wants to defend the Biblical definition of marriage. They then strip a cross out of her hands and stomp it on the ground and chant "go home" and "shame on you."

A television news crew captured the footage. Subsequently, homosexuals shouted down an attempt by the crew to interview the woman.

Many Californians are joining a nationwide call to boycott Hallmark greeting cards, in response to that company's introduction of so-called "same-sex couple" cards. The boycott, which was announced in August by Family Policy Network, has begun to attract supporters in cities and towns throughout the nation.

Many Californians who signed the petition to boycott Hallmark over its pro-homosexual cards added their own comments to the statement above. Here is a sampling of those comments:

Madonna in Shasta Lake, CA writes, "We're supposed to love the sinner and hate the sin...loving them isn't condoning their sinful choice."

Lucretia in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA writes, "I will no longer, ever, buy another Hallmark product, under any name, unless you pull these cards."

Brenda in Olivehurst, CA writes, "Not only I, but my entire family no longer buy cards and gift from your company, and we will not as long as you promote homosexuality."

Opposition is growing to a proposal on San Francisco's November ballot that would, in effect, decriminalize prostitution. The proposal, Proposition K, would halt use of funds to enforce laws against prostitution, including the state ban.

Tony Nassif of Cedars Cultural and Educational Foundation understands how the issue ended up on the ballot. "We have a sexualization of society where standards of right and wrong are disintegrating, and moral paradigms are disintegrating as well," Nassif contends.

Two days later and without explanation, Biesterfeld was terminated.

The firing of Biesterfeld has outraged the Lindsay community and has raised concerns over how the Library responds to the viewing of illegal child pornography on library property

A bill ensuring that unwed parents remain unmarried is receiving strong opposition from a leading California-based pro-family organization. Campaign for Children and Families (CCF) President Randy Thomasson criticized the proposal by saying, "SB 1066 rewards unwed parents for not getting married." He added, "This foolish bill promotes cohabitation just as government welfare programs subsidized illegitimacy. SB 1066 ensures that unwed parents remain uncommitted. Why get married if you can get the legal rights and benefits of marriage without saying 'I do?' And what about the kids, who research shows do much worse in unmarried environments? SB 1066 is bad public policy. It’s blind to the evidence that marriage is 1000 percent more stable than shacking up."
